The Elkmont Red Devils and cheerleaders wrapped up the football season with the annual banquet, December 13. Wish all our seniors well as this chapter of their lives close.
Senior Night at Boss Hill Stadium was a great way to say goodbye to our Seniors who are involved in fall sports or marching band. The Red Devils took advantage of a momentum-swinging play on special teams to score 24 unanswered points in the second quarter. Clements had a big fourth-quarter rally but Elkmont was able to hold off the Colts, 45-31 to cap off Senior Night.
*You can bring your own refreshments or you can join
us for grilled
burgers and hot dogs. We ask that those joining us contribute plates,
buns, chips,
hot dogs and bring your own drinks (preferably canned drinks that are
already cooled which eliminates ice and cups). If you are interested in
our grilled burgers and hot dogs, we would ask for a small
contribution to the cost of the meat.
This post is for the Elkmont Football Fans. We would like to continue
our support for the football team with a tailgate party for the game
this week. So here is some information
for you, we will play East Lawrence on Friday, October 23 @ Boss Hill
Stadium. We will kick off the tailgating about 5 pm. We will greet the
football players with the walk thru line at about 5:30. If you are
interested in coming out and showing support for our boys please come
join us at the east side of the weight room under the shade tree.
Rogers 51, Elkmont 7: With just under two minutes left
in the second quarter, Elkmont (0-8, 0-6) had gained some life after
scoring a touchdown and forcing a three-and-out. Elkmont was vying for
another quick score before the break but a Rogers defender jumped in
front of a Red Devils’ pass to get the interception.
The
Elkmont Red Devils will be
traveling to Rogers High School for tonight's game @ 7 pm. It takes
at least an hour to get there. Elkmont has been selected to be yet another homecoming opponent this year. This will make the game
longer than normal so plan accordingly. It may be eleven before you
get home.
Deshler stays alive for the Class 4A,
Region 8 championship with a big game against Elkmont on Friday. Deshler (4-3, 4-1) defeated Elkmont (0-7, 0-5) 38-7 behind Ricks’ 207-yard, four-touchdown performance.
