ROUGH NIGHT FOR RED DEVILS

Not much to say except "it's growing pains". Hoping for a win next week during Elkmont's Homecoming.

New Hope quarterback Adam Browner accounted for four touchdown as the Indians rolled past visiting Elkmont 42-16.

Browner threw for 72 yards and two touchdowns, and also ran for 72 yards and two scores. Bret Clark caught both touchdowns, ran for 72 yards and a score and picked off a pass. Shane Hammond led the Indians with 83 yards rushing. Jacob Maples made seven tackles and blocked a punt and Ryne Hicks recorded nine tackles.

New Hope (4-1) steps back into Class 3A, Region 7 play against Brindlee Mountain next week. Elkmont (0-5) returns to 4A-8 play against Central-Florence.
