ATHENS TOO MUCH FOR ELKMONT MIDGETS

Elkmont Midgets opened up the regular season under the lights, taking on the Athens 2 Golden Eagles at Athens Middle School. The Golden Eagles' size and speed proved to be too much for the Red Devils, resulting in a 27-0 Athens victory. While the Red Devils had a hard time moving the ball on offense, Jedidiah Sutherland's interception and Masin Morris' fumble recovery highlighted the Red Devils' defensive effort. The Midgets' next game is 9/21 at 5:00 pm against West Limestone.
