ELKMONT NOT ABLE TO CATCH TIGERS

The Ardmore Tigers beat the Red Devils, 15 to 7, last night. The Red Devils struck first and the Elkmont faithful were looking for the first win of the season. Davis Hobbs threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Hunter Pitman on fourth and 20 with 4:36 remaining in the first quarter. The Tigers came back with two second quarter scores. That was all that was needed, as the Tigers' defense held Elkmont to just 114 yards of total offense in the game.

Highlights:
*Cameron Davis led the Elkmont rushing attack with 59 yards on 21 carries.

*Christian Green and Luke Claunch combined for 15.5 tackles and four tackles for loss.

OTHER ITEMS OF NOTE:

Under a cool, damp sky, the Elkmont and Ardmore communities said their goodbyes to Leah Siebert.  Loved by many, this young lady was laid to rest yesterday afternoon.  The normally charged, excited atmosphere was more reflective this year and her absence was felt.
